Tacoma Conservation Survey Results

Thank you for your great responses to the conservation survey!  Below are the results showing the activities and projects our group is most interested in.  We'll be using this survey information as we plan future events.

 

 

 

National Trails Day – Saturday, June 4th

Help to maintain and preserve trails in our national and state parks on June 4th as part of National Trails Day.  The Mountaineers website has activities listed for several of the branches  and the Washington Trails Association has several events planned as well.

 

Mount Rainier National Park Meadow Rovers Program – Training on Saturday, June 25th

Volunteers work with the National Park Service doing a variety of jobs throughout the year and on weekdays and weekends.   Training for new Meadow Rovers will be held on June 25th.  You will need to register for the training, information is available at http://www.nps.gov/mora/supportyourpark/volunteer.htm.

 

Mount Rainier National Park Volunteer Opportunities

There are several ways you can volunteer to help protect and preserve Mount Rainier National Park.

 

Mount Rainier National Park Volunteer Program.  Volunteers work with the National Park Service doing a variety of jobs throughout the year on weekdays or weekends.  There are opportunities for long-term volunteers as well as one-day projects listed on their website.  

 

Mount Rainier National Park Associates has trail maintenance projects on June 11, July 9, August 13, September 10, and October 1, 2011.  You will need to sign up as volunteers through their website.
