The Tacoma Branch of The Mountaineers now offers beginner-level, easygoing bike rides. Our rides are a welcoming experience for brand new or "rusty" riders, either an end in themselves or a stepping stone to longer, harder rides. Never been on an organized ride? We'd love to meet you!

Ride at the speed you want, on any ride you can go as short or far as you want. The typical ride will be roughly two hours long - an hour out, an hour back.

Bicycle helmets are required on all Tacoma Mountaineers bike rides.

South Sound Bicycle Clubs

Once you've gone on a few rides with Tacoma Mountaineers and are ready for something a little more advanced - move on up to Tacoma Wheelmen. The Wheelmen offer beginning-level rides but they also offer longer, more challenging trips.

Checkout the Tacoma Wheelmen's Bicycle Club and their newsletter for great cycling opportunities.
